HMS VICTORY

On board HMS Victory Ian met pupils from a local school to share his historical narrative, Powder Monkey. He read extracts from the story and lead a writing workshop based on life on board Nelson’s flagship! Powder Monkey is the story of Jack, a reluctant time traveller who finds himself smack in the middle of the Battle of Trafalgar.

World War Two Day

Sams Spitfire Summer tells the story of a young evacuee transported to the Kent countryside. The story provided the means to teach children of the events of World War II at The Battle of Britain Memorial Site at Capel-le-Ferne Folkestone.
If you have a visitor attraction or museum featuring World War II contact Ian to find out more.

A young visitor to the Capel le Ferne site makes his Spitfire picture while listening to the story.
